Loved it in a bitter sweet way. Disney has made us see the little mermaid story in the prince loves the princess sort of way. While the original story is a tad bit realistic. Not all plans are successful. Not all prince charming fall for the right girl. Following the prince isn't always the right way. Life should have more goals other than marrying the stupid prince charming(i am personally upset from him for not picking up the foundling). Love can be unrequited. But love in itself is beautiful :)ah this did make me cry, and confused me, as i am unable to select my favorite between the two, the disney's happy ending or the authors version of the slightly bitter ending...

The book of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," is about a mermaid who wants nothing more than to be living on land and to be with Prince Eric. The story goes through her transition of being a mermaid into being a human, but the condition was that she would have no voice if she wanted feet. The dramatic story teaches that life is a give and take. "The Little Mermaid" is my absolute favorite Disney story. I think it teaches readers that to get what you want, you sometimes have to make sacrifices.Not even half the actual story and doesnt even have an ending really. I thought this book was like a side story to the original tale, instead its just a half-assed attempt at re-telling the original.
This is a friction book , The little mermaid want to go on shore and she find Ursula and Ursula said she must get prince Erics heart if not she will turn into bubble and she will be forever gone so Ariel went on shore and saved Eric and Eric thanked her and let her go inside the palace and let her live there but there come a bad princess and said that she was he one who saved Prince Eric so at last Ariels friend go and helped Ariel and she did not became vanished and lived happily ever after

This classical tale comes to live through Disney's vision. The story is well develop the illustrations are modern and appealing to kids. Life in the ocean is not enough to make Ariel happy so her destiny is bond with the earth and not everyone agrees with her choices. Love is the key element that moves this story all she does is for her "love" for the Prince. Everyone is the owner of their destiny. Young Girl usually loves this story. In my opinion not a good story to teach to girls but it is
