This was another freebie that I really really liked. The way the hero and heroine met was a little unbelievable in the beginning so I wasn't sure how the book was going to keep me interested, but it did and I was routing for Regan and Zach every step of the way. Zach wasn't the typical alpha billionaire that I've been reading in so many books. Was he rich? Yes. Hot? Well, kinda. I just couldn't picture what he looked like for some reason, but I'm sure he was hot. Was he an alpha? Hmmm, notIt started out well until I felt annoyed by the female lead character's weakness in spirit. I'll give the book a hat's off for its ability to toy with your emotions. Then again, you would also feel if scenes and dialogues have been stretched out to exaggeration. Glad that this book was able to touch sensitive themes such as abuse that comes in all forms in both romantic and non-romantic relationships (and how to release yourself from such situations) and the importance of family. This book is
I will admit that I got this book free off of Amazon and boy am I glad that I did. I just another author that I probably would not have read. I have bought the second book in this series and plan on buying the others. The family dynamics of both the Keller and Benson are real and at times hilarious.Regan Keller is an executive assistant that made one bad decision that nearly cost her own life. Moving back from Hawaii to heal and to be around her family has helped her move on with her life in
I took another delve into the B&N free book collection, and resurfaced with another cheesy romance novel. By the cover, I had guessed it would be a romance with forays into the porn underworld (you know, they have clothes on, so it's obviously more romance than sex). I was correct in this assumption, so I was not shocked when it was a horribly clichéd romance story. Regan just regained her momentum for life after having leaving a horrible, abusive relationship that nearly killed her behind.
This is the first book in the Keller Family series and my first book by Bernadette Marie. I enjoyed it, and while it is predictable, of course, it does have interesting characters and the manuscript has only a few formatting errors. There were also some surprises I hadn't expected. I will be looking for the next one in this series.
I liked this book a lot. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that I thought Regan should have told Zach what was going on before he found out (but of course it wouldn't have been as dramatic if she had). I also don't understand where she got the idea that he would reject her because she wasn't "good enough" or had "given up a baby". Neither he or her family had ever treated her like that and regardless of what Alexander Hamilton did, her family life raised her differently and I
I loved reading this book it was so good... I felt so much compassion towards Regan and why she would not bring herself to fall in Love with her Boss. Zach was such a understanding man taking his time to gain her trust and love is honorable. I read this book in a day and i cant wait to read the next Keller Book..
