Descendants (Descendants Junior Novels #1)
This is a novelization of the movie, so it's literally one big spoiler (like the diary and spellbook weren't) so be aware of that if you want to watch the movie. I personally dont mind spoilers. They actually make me more excited for whatever I was spoiled for. So I REALLY liked this book, and I'm super excited for the movie!!!
Well, this is exactly what I expected it to be.On the surface, this book is definitely a poorly novelized adaption of a Disney made-for TV musical. It has flat, undistinguishable characters in a predictable world following a similar plot as High School Musical, only this time with the children of our favorite Disney big screen heroes and villains. I was able to read it in less than two hours, and I struggled to differentiate one character from other. However, I know that I am not the intended
A great short read!!!!!! Loved the creativeness of imagining what would it be like if all the Disney stories we have grown up with also had kids & the moral of the story: good triumphs evil of course!!!!!! :)
As I've said before: yes, yes. I know. The whole 'Disney movies are for kids' thing. That applies to books, too, allegedly.. I watched the movie because Jafar is my favorite Disney villain. Sadly, he didn't have a big role in the movie, nor did he have a big one in this novelization. This was not as good as the movie. The movie seemed intended for teens/young adults while this book, at times, seemed to be for toddlers.Early on, the author describes the scene where Carlos, Mal, Jay, and Evie sang
3.5 stars! This Disney channel movie novelization starts out right where The Isle of the Lost ended. Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos have spent their whole lives on the Isle, because of their villainous parents. But when Prince Ben declares that the 'innocent' children of the Isle of the Lost should be given a second chance, they find themselves sent to Auradon, with a special mission from their parents to take down the kingdom and bring Fairy Godmother's wand to Maleficent. Will the Descendants
This was a very good book. If you have watched the movie, then you need to read the book! I t has way more detils than the movie.
