Ah! What a book. I never tire of reading Lewis. His prose and logic and wit truly nourish the soul. This short collection of essays are well worth the read. My favorite in order: the efficacy of prayer, the worlds last night, religion and rocketry, Screwtape proposes a toast, on obstinacy in belief, good work and good works, & Lillies that fester. Each of the 7 essays are worth reading and all relatively short. All of which are still relevant and equally pungent to speak to our current place

Once, on a day that he intended to go to the barber, in preparation for a trip to London, Lewis opened a letter informing him that he need not go to London. Great read for those who are fans of Lewis beyond NarniaSix essays by Lewis that range in topics from an additional piece featuring Screwtape to how the Christian should correctly consider end times. Not a lot that threads these together except Lewis incredible mind and his astute observations of culture, particularly as it relates to Christians.

Five stars for "Religion and Rocketry," which I love so much I'm bestowing the rating on the whole book. This is a lovely collection; I'll try to compose a proper review later.
