Chronicle As Books Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings

The autobiography every true American has been waiting for: a shockingly candid and raw confessional from a national treasure.
From his humble beginnings in a desolate Iowa coal mining town, his years at Our Lady Queen of Chewbacca High School to his odds-defying climb to the dizzying heights of becoming America’s most trusted and beloved television News Anchor, Ron Burgundy pulls no punches in Let Me Off at the Top!
In his very own words Burgundy reveals his most private thoughts, his triumphs and his disappointments. His life reads like an adventure story complete with knock down fights, beautiful women and double-fisted excitement on every page. He has hunted jackalopes with Bobby Kennedy and Peter Lawford, had more than his share of his amorous exploits, and formed the greatest on-air team in the history of televised news. Along the way, he hobnobbed with people you wish you knew and some you honestly wish you didn't -- celebrities, presidents, presidents' wives, celebrities' wives, dogs, and, of course Veronica Corningstone, the love of his life. Walter Cronkite, Barbra Streisand, Katie Couric, the list goes on. Who didn’t Mr. Burgundy, or “Ron” as he is known to his friends, rub elbows with in the course of his colorful and often criminal life?
This may well be the most thrilling book ever written, by a man of great physical, moral and spiritual strength and not surprisingly a great literary talent as well. This book deserves a real shot at a Pulitzer Prize. In fact if it doesn’t win one then we will finally have proof that the Pulitzer is rigged.
Ron Burgundy has taken the time to write a book. We owe it to him, as honest Americans, to read it.

Assess Of Books Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings
This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. I know it was supposed to be a spoof of Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy, but the book was completely ridiculous. It was about nothing, the stories were stupid, the character of Burgundy was unlikeable, and there was nothing redeeming about the book except finally finishing it. There were stories about how the news team got together, stories about Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone, stories about what a popular news anchor he was and

I really wanted it to be a five star book.I love both Anchorman films. I love Ron Burgandy. I didn't love this book.Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, it just could have been better. I was expecting more laugh out loud moments, and some bits did make me chuckle but I felt like I just didn't get any of the stories. The problem might be that I am from the UK, and a lot of the anecdotes are about American celebs who I have never heard of! However, you definitely get the Ron Burgandy character

It is nearly imperative that you are familiar with at least one of the Anchorman films before attempting to delve into the sumptuousness that is Ron Burgundys prose. The reasoning is three-fold:Firstly - They are hi-lar-i-ous (speaking of the first film, specifically, as I have yet to take in the majesty of the second).Twoly - Having the context of the character and his associates, makes much more of the material make sense; I say much more as opposed to all, because, quite frankly, I dont think

I'll start off by saying that I bought this book for a friend for Christmas. But before I wrap it, I decided I wanted to read it first. Let's be real here--I bought it for me and I'm regifting it. There's nothing wrong with that, right? That being said, I'm so glad I did it. I bought this online for $11, which at the time (since it's a new book) was 50% off its regular price. And it was worth every penny. It's stupid and hilarious, because Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was stupid and

This book was typical Ron Burgundy. If you hated Anchorman, don't bother because this book was just a wonderfully insane extension of Anchorman. It is full of the completely ridiculous, entirely fabricated 'facts' of Ron Burgundy's life as the classiest big deal around. Ron is telling that it took him eight years to write this book due to his extensive research about own life, starting from his beginnings in a forsaken Iowa coal mining town, followed by his education on Chewbacca High School up

If i had to describe this book in two words they would be hilarious and extremely entertaining. If you like the comedian Will Ferrell and his character Ron Burgundy from the anchorman series you will love this book. This hilarious book is written by Ron Burgundy, an extremely hilarious and handsome news anchor. The book talks about his crazy comical life and outrageous news team. This book takes you on an adventure through the life of Ron Burgundy from when he was a little boy living in a poor

If you're reading this and have no idea who Ron Burgundy is then stop reading this review and go rent Anchorman. If you're reading this and don't like Ron Burgundy, and Ron Burgundy was a real person he would punch you right in the mouth. Being a fan of Anchorman I had to preorder this book. Until the Brick Tamlin autobiography is released this will have to do. If Ron were a real person he would be arrogant, a bit stupid, and a bit controversial. As a fictional character he's all of these and
