I am really enjoying this change of pace with non-urban fantasy books. This was a great addition to my new found reading genre. This is a fun read as most Emily Evans' books are. Don't mind the unrealism and the fluff and you're good to go. Personally, I love the ease of her writing style and the edginess. Gotta love the edge!At 17, Kai is betrothed and resigned. Grandmother is a bitch and everyone bows to her will. Kai is distant and subdued. But when he loses his memory it's his chance to reassess his life from unbiased eyes. They don't tell him he's a prince. They don't tell him he's engaged. They don't tell him he's
I thought this book was really good! I loved that Kai was a clueless boys willing to fall in love and find a new him. He got more comfortable with himself and who he was, as an amnesiac, in the book. With Violet... She was determined to be own person and not be weighed down by a family member's previous mistake. She accepted Kai when she knew she couldn't see the real him because even Kai didn't know who he really was. But the night he remembers changes everything. He becomes distant and colder.

Enjoyed it :)A fun book
This was a sweet tale. I loved this book. I want there to be more. She kept the story sweet and simple. But you fell so deeply for the main Characters. It was really easy to get comfortable and get drawn into this book.
This was one of those books that made me want to hit myself for reading. The story went by so fast that I had no idea what was happening. At one point, I'm sure the book skipped an entire bit. Then we have the horrible, horrible, confusing ending which left me wondering what the hell happened. I mean, it ended in a poetic way but so many things could have been clarified in the end.(view spoiler)[Did Kai's grandmother really die or was she just in a coma? Were Kai and Violet getting together?
I've read a lot of negative comments but then sided with the ones who actually liked this book.It has a great plot; I'll give you that, but I guess it didn't reach my standards. The plot held so much potential. The ending was a bummer.. I kind of started wanting more by the last chapter..The characters are very real though, and I admire that. The persona is quite different as to being third-person telling the characters' point of view; I thought that was cool.Nonetheless, I think this book can
