SUBMISSION IS HER ONLY POWER...and her desperate means of control.

When Lydia is ordered to leave the haven of the Louisiana plantation known as La Nouvelle Vie, she thinks she is free from the twisted desires of her dark trinity.

Yet as she struggles with the question of whether or not she even wants to be free, Lydia finds herself again submitting to the depraved demands of the obsessive Preston Severine.

This book contains graphic scenes of enforced submission, dubious consent, sexual activites, and descriptions of southern food. Read at your own risk.

Nina's Lane's writing style is beautiful. Just as before with the first book in the series, I loved the style. I was happy to be back a the plantation with Lydia and her dark trio, and I supposed I was hoping for more of the same with this book. There was still lots of smut and lovely scenery, but I found the degradation of Lydia/Jane in this one to be a little much. Not too too much, but there was much more cringe-worthy humiliation for the main character here, rather than willing humiliation

*****5 Sadistic Obsession & Blackmail Stars*****~this review may contain spoilers from book one~Preston hated the way Gabriel and Lydia looked at each other, hated their growing closeness and the idea that Gabriel occupied a place in Lydia's thoughts that crowded Preston out. That last bit was the worst, for Preston wanted every one of Lydia's dreams, hopes, thoughts, and desires focused unerringly on him. This series will most definitely push you to the ends of your comfort limits, it's one

At the end of book one I thought we were heading towards a symbiotic relationship between the four main characters. With each meeting a certain need of Lydia's and everyone learning and growing together.Ya, that's not how it all played out AT ALL. For most of the book Lydia was gone from La Nouvelle Vie and back living under hers parents guard. Kruin was pretty much MIA is this book. Preston crossed the line into batshit crazy, and Gabriel popped in a few times here and there to progress the

Awwww.... I don't know why I love this sooo much.

I thoroughly loved the first book, Erotic Dark. I struggled with it because humiliation is something that's not really my thing but I get how it is for many others. Book 2 is more of that and we finally got to truly see the depths of depravity in Preston. We also got to see (finally) something more than spoiled selfish Jane (Lydia). While I hated how Preston was able to manipulate her, it was good to see her finally start to fight back. Even more to see her make decisions that were about others,

After reading The Erotic Dark, I couldn't wait to dig into The Erotic Light. It was just as great as the first one!! Nina held no punches with this sequel. Just when I thought Preston couldn't be any more malicious, he surprised me by being even lower than before. Can we say unstable? It was obvious in The Erotic Dark that Preston was insanely obsessed with Lydia, but in The Erotic Light we see just how far he's willing to go. But while one man is willing to go to extreme lengths to keep Lydia

I liked this SO much more than the first book. I found it a lot darker and in many ways it is more depraved. It picks up shortly after the previous book ended and it becomes clear almost immediately that Preston's tenuous hold on sanity is slipping because of his jealousy. I disliked him in book one and I absolutely hated him here. He makes for an excellent deranged and sadistic villain. Gabriel is almost perfect (in his own moderately screwed up way). The differences between him and Preston and
