Raised in near seclusion by an agoraphobic mother, Davy Cooper’s social skills are almost nonexistent. Now that his mother has died, he needs to make friends for the first time in his life. He catches Gavin Walker’s eye, but the sexy, confident, bad boy hipster intimidates shy Davy so much that he throws away Gavin’s number every time he offers it.When Gavin defends Davy from a rude guy, Davy begins to warm to him. However, with his limited experience, he thinks he and Gavin are too different, and anything more than a casual acquaintance will end in complete disaster.

Loved! This is what its all about.Overall: 3 starsAudio performance: 2 starsStory: 3.5 starsThis was my first Kade Boehme book. I liked this Nice Soft Read well enough. Very sweet, a little angsty, and a bit soap-operish. In terms of the audio-book performance,it felt very amateurish, and I was not impressed with quality for a pay product. There was little to no pausing, inadequate punctuation and voice's interpretation during the story. This is a story of two opposites falling in love and about the obstacles that threaten to
I really liked this book. Unfortunately I was reading it during the 90% sale of the century and feel it didn't get the attention it deserved from me during the last 70% or so. That being said, it was a great story and I loved the writing. It was a lot more than I expected and that was a very good thing. You should read it.

★★★★4 Made-me-melt Stars★★★★I got so much more from this book than I expected. It was cute, sweet, tender, and surprisingly emotional and deep.I absolutely adored both of the MCs in this book. We have Davy, the sexy and shy guy who has had a string of bad luck with dating because guys tended to take advantage of his sweet nature. He is understandably weary of Gavin, the guy with the middle name "Trouble," who pursues Davy relentlessly for months at Davy's work. You could not help but love Davy,
Very sweet, a little angsty, but not soap-operish by any means. I was worried when Davy self-identified as having social anxiety that I would have a hard time reading this book, as social anxiety has been a huge part of my own life for many years now. However, it turns out Davy is actually more just shy than anxious, and I enjoyed this story a lot. One thing I enjoy is that Kade Boehme writes in a very Southern voice, though it wasn't as evident here, as neither of the main characters are
Gah! I'm having a hard time rating this.I'm not sure if I liked Gavin or not. He started out as an asshole, then a slut, and ended up needy. I can sympathize with him though.Davy on the other hand, I LOVED. His quiet fortitude is so admirable! I wish I have some of that or I wish I'll be with somebody who has that.I thought this was light based on the blurb. But oh, it was the opposite! It was quite fun in the first half, and then turned serious in the last half. I ended up liking the whole
1.5 starsThis book could have been good, but it was ruined for me because the characters kept doing things that didn't make any sense (I'll come back to this point later). The writing was mediocre, and included poorly constructed sentences like this:He'd been thrilled about the loud way Oliver got thrilled over everything when he received a high five from one of the fishmongers for dropping the tip money Davy had sent with them into the jar.Things got sappy somewhere around the middle of the
