I love Desmond Flynn and this book just made me fell in love with this character all over again.

Callie, I say, I love you. Ive loved you from the beginning. And I will love you long after the last star dies. I will love you until the end of darkness itself.I am in awe. This book was incredible. You got a little of Des' story from the first 2 books in the series, but reading it in all it's glory was both heartbreaking and amazing. To read all the things he went through, all the horrors he faced, the secrets he kept, the wars he literally fought to get to where he is now. I could not read

I absolutely did not want a novella, I wanted the third book. But I am so glad I got the novella. It did feel very rushed, but that is a novella. I wanted more stories of Des but I will gladly take what I can get. His history was heartbreaking and it truly does show you why he is the way he is. Read this series you will love the King of the Night as much as me.

Des, the enigmatic Bargainer, especially in Book 1 has been this opaque, elusive character that I love "till darkness dies" but one that I can't quite get an accurate reading on. Loved it! Loved seeing Desmond's POV and learning about his early life. I feel that I know him so much better now! It was a great fix for my 'Bargainer' series addiction whilst waiting for the next book to come out.
